Casodex
Casodex (bicalutamide) belongs to the class of drugs called nonsteroidal antiandrogens. Nonsteroidal antiandrogens are employed to cure prostate cancer. Casodex counteracts the effect of the male hormones (androgens) such as testosterone in the body. Mechanism of action of the medicine is to reduce the quantity of testosterone produced in the body. Eulexin Eulexin (flutamide is active ingredient) is an antiandrogen used in the treatment of prostate cancer in combination with other drugs such as Lupron. It works in the body by preventing the actions of androgens which are male hormones. Eulexin has replaced bicalutamide drug because it has less side effects and it is also known as Flutamin. Furthermore, this medication is not recommended for women. There are no reports indicating restriction on foods, beverages or activities while taking Eulexin, excepting alcohol which can worsen its side effects. Generally you should take this drug three times a day, but you have to take it exactly how your doctor prescribed it to you.
