Iressa Iressa is used to treat adults who have non-small cell lung cancer that is locally advanced or metastatic (when cancer cells have spread from the original site to other parts of the body). It is used in patients whose cancer cells have a mutation in the genes that make a protein called epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR).
Vepesid Vepesid generic name etoposide (etoposide phosphate) is used as a form of chemotherapy for malignancies such as Ewing's sarcoma, lung cancer, testicular cancer, lymphoma, non-lymphocytic leukemia, and glioblastoma multiforme. It can also be used in combination with other cancer medications. Vepesid is also sometimes used in a conditioning regimen prior to a bone marrow or blood stem cell transplant. Do not use this medication if you use any kind of dietary supplements or if you have kidney disease, bone marrow depression or a history of blood conditions. Vepesid capsules absorption depends on the severity of disease. Total dose of vepesid should not exceed 650mg/m2.
Vepesid (etoposide) is indicated for use in the treatment of:
1. Small cell carcinoma of the lung.
2. Acute monocytic and myelomonocytic leukaemia.
3. Hodgkin's disease.
4. Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
