One of the unique features that differentiate Celebrex from other NSAID is that it does not slow down the process of blood clotting in a human body and it does not affect the stomach and intestines much compared to other drugs.

Celebrex doses for patients who are already taking Fluconazole or Diflucan should be very less as Fluconazole leads to the increased breakdown of Celecoxib content in liver thereby, increasing the concentration of Celebrex in body. Other than this, intake of Celebrex increases Lithium in blood flow therefore it is advised to follow Lithium therapy before and after treatment with Celebrex drug. Apart from the above-mentioned precautions, people who are taking anticoagulant or warfarin must have their blood tested before or after Celecoxib treatment.
Dosage It is advised to consume Celebrex in small doses like in case of osteoarthritis, the prescribed dosage is 100 mg twice a day or in a single dose of 200 mg. in case of rheumatoid arthritis patients, the dosage varies from 100 to 200 mg twice a day. For people dealing with acute pain or menstrual cramps, a single dose of 400 mg one the starting day followed by a 200 mg small dose if required on the same day and after that 200 mg doses twice a day. In case of FAP, the dose advised is 400 mg twice a day on a daily basis.
Side effects People who are allergic to Sulfonamides and Aspirins may develop allergic reactions like rashes, itching and difficulty in breathing from usage of Celebrex. Therefore, they should not use it and if they are experiencing similar symptoms of allergies then it is better to contact a doctor.
Caution Although Celebrex is yet to be tested on pregnant women but, recent studies show that intake of the medicine by pregnant animals resulted in birth defect like in ribs and Sternebrae. Similarly, the use of Celebrex may have adverse effects while nursing babies. Therefore, it is better to consult your doctor before consuming it, if you are pregnant. In case of people who consume alcohol, they should consult their Doctors before consuming the medicine because researches show that, those who consume more than two Alcoholic beverages daily are at increased risk of developing stomach ulcers. Similar is the case with both Celebrex and other non-steroidal drugs.
Celebrex notes:
Celebrex is the product brand name of the drug Celecoxib and is manufactured by Pfizer. The celebrex medication is given to patients suffering from osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis to give them relief from pain, fever, swelling, and tenderness. It is vital to understand that celebrex does not in any way hinder the advancement of any form of arthritis and only helps in giving relief from the symptoms of and signs of arthritis. It can be safely prescribed to patients who suffer from familial FAP and whose colons have not been removed. It can also give relief to women suffering from the acute pain caused by menstrual cramps.
Celebrex is basically an anti-inflammatory drug that comes in two dosages. A 100 capsule packing of Celebrex of 100 mg dosage costs USD 65.00 while a 100 capsule packing of celebrex 200 mg dosage costs USD 99.00. The Celebrex medication needs to be administered in the form of lowest effective dose, which can vary from patient to patient.
This non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication is different from the other medicines of its type in that it reduces the inflammation and ulceration caused by the other similar drugs in the stomach and intestine. Another very good aspect of Celebrex medication is that it does not get in the way of clotting of blood. Unlike other similar drugs, Celebrex generic does not hinder the process of creation and reduction in the size of polyps in patients who suffer from familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP), a genetic disease.
Although, when taken alone, Celebrex side effects have been negligible. However, simultaneous intake of NSAID drugs like Aspirin and Celebrex can result in an increase in the rate at which stomach and intestinal ulcers occur. The effect of this drug on pregnant patients and feeding mothers has not been studied as yet, who should take the medicine after proper consultation with a doctor.
